Welcome! Climate Stewards USA is the new home of Climate Caretakers, a project started by climate activist Brian Webb in 2015.
Climate Stewards USA provides carbon reduction and offsetting resources for individuals and organizations. We hope you will take a look around our Resource pages for learning, praying, and acting on the climate emergency.
You can expect robust climate actions, prayers, and carbon offsetting tools that help you be more effective in acting on climate change. Whether you are a business owner, a university sustainability coordinator, a nonprofit leader, or simply someone looking to take hopeful steps towards a better future, we hope you join us.

Brian is the Founder and Director Emeritus of Climate Caretakers. In this role, he serves as a thought leader and a catalyst for projects aimed at mobilizing Christians to respond to the climate crisis. Brian also serves as the Director of the Center for Sustainability and an Instructor in Environmental Studies at Houghton College, where he leads the college’s efforts to promote environmental stewardship at an institutional level. Under Brian’s leadership, the college has achieved a 32% carbon footprint reduction in just ten years. Brian holds two master’s degrees, one in Experiential Education from Minnesota State University and another in Sustainability and Environmental Management from Harvard Extension School. Brian enjoys a variety of outdoor activities—especially hiking, camping and birding, loves to travel with his family, and has a life goal of climbing to the highest peak in all 50 U.S. states.
